Douglas Tumen, DPM, FACFAS, is an experienced foot and ankle surgeon at Hudson Valley Foot Associates, serving patients in Kingston, New Windsor, Wappingers Falls, Hudson, and West Coxsackie, New York.
Dr. Tumen has practiced podiatry for more than 35 years. He is a graduate of the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine in North Chicago, Illinois, now known as the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. A diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons, Dr. Tumen is board-certified in foot surgery and is also a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
Active in his community, Dr. Tumen has served on the Board of Directors of the Kingston YMCA and is a recipient of the “Pride of Ulster County” award from the Ulster County Legislature. He is also an avid fitness enthusiast – having completed nine marathons – and is devoted to living and teaching a healthy lifestyle. He enjoys working with patients of all ages and from young athletes to seniors.
An author in his own right, Dr. Tumen has published numerous articles for national magazines, newspapers, and medical publications. He is the author of the Amazon best-selling book, “Ask the Foot Doctor.”
